Wellspring is a free browser arcade game you control with a single button. Hold to orbit a gravity well, release to slingshot across space, and chain glowing sparks for combos — until you drift off the edge or clip a well's core. Every day there's a daily run that is identical for every player in the world, with streaks, a shareable result, and an archive of past days. No download, no signup: it loads in about a second.
How to play
- Hold your button to grab the nearest gravity well and swing around it in orbit.
- Release to let go and fly off in a straight line — your timing sets your direction.
- Fly through sparks to score. Collect them quickly one after another to build a combo multiplier.
- You crash if you drift off the edge of the field or hit the bright core of a well.
- Your speed slowly climbs the longer you survive — late-run orbits get wild.

Game modes
- Daily run — the same well layout and spark sequence for everyone, once per day. Keep your streak alive by playing every day, and share your score with a spoiler-free result string.
- Archive — replay any past daily exactly as it was, and chase a best score on each day.
- Endless — a fresh random field every run, for pure practice and high-score chasing.
Tips
- Your slingshot leaves the orbit at a tangent — release a quarter-turn before the direction you actually want to travel.
- Tight orbits (grabbing a well when you're close to it) turn faster; use them for sharp course changes.
- The combo timer is short: plan a route through two or three sparks before you release.
- Near the edge, grab anything. An ugly orbit beats drifting out.
FAQ
Do I need to sign up or download anything? No. Wellspring runs entirely in your browser and is free, with no account and currently no ads.
When does the daily run reset? At midnight in your local timezone. Everyone gets the same layout on the same calendar day.
What happens to my streak if I miss a day? It resets — but your best streak is remembered, and you can still replay the days you missed in the archive (archive runs don't restore streaks).
Does it work on phones and school Chromebooks? Yes — anything with a modern browser works, mouse, keyboard or touch.
